It’s a podcast where voices from all corners of the stage share their messy, moving, hilarious, and heartbreaking truths. Renee Palmer: Producer and Presenter
For over thirty years Melbourne (NAARM) based theatre artist Renee has worked as Director, producer, actor and writer. Establishing a creative practice in site-specific immersive theatre, her shows are often performed in dis-used or found spaces such as underground carparks, Fitzroy’s backstreets, laundry mats and bookshops. Renee’s projects include There’s a Place I Know (2017), Never Ending Night (2018) and Rust (2020). Completing a Masters of Creative Industry (Melb. PolyTech), she wrote, directed and produced Women’s Shout an immersive live performance revealing the intimate lives of three generations of Australian female publicans spanning three decades. Premiering 2022 Melbourne Fringe Festival, Women’s Shout was transformed into a 45-minute immersive digital performance, renamed Women’s Shout: The Happy Hour which premiere at 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival and has been recently selected for the 2025 Sydney Lift Off Festival (www.womensshout.com.au). Renee has trained with Royal Shakespeare Company (UK), BBC (UK), and Max Stafford Clark (Out of Joint theatre. UK), MAD Improv (Madrid). She is a graduate of Swinburne University: Small companies and community arts theatre, RMIT University: Broadcast Journalism (Radio), and a post graduate from La Trobe University in Drama and Theatre.
Scott Jackson: Producer and Presenter
Scott Jackson Studied at the University of Ballarat Arts Academy (Federation University), trained in Stage Combat with the Action Acting Academy, Society of Australian Fight Directors inc, British Academy of Dramatic Combat, and Captivate Action Ltd, and the Paddy Crean Workshop in Canada hosted by The International Order of The Sword and The Pen. Scott has recently received two Adjudicators awards for his Fight Choreography for the Hartwell Players production of Coriolanus. Scott worked on the large-scale tour of the Immersive Cinema experience of Dirty Dancing. He has also been a part of other Immersive works such as Underground cinema’s Shows of Hotel, Kingdom, Call of Duty Black Ops, and Edgar Allen Poe’s world of A Midnight Visit. In 2024 Scott co-wrote, produced and directed the re-imagined production of Romeo and Juliet, renamed Shakespeare in Between. Scott’s practice centres creating experiences based on inclusion and accessibility for diverse audiences as an active member of Playback Theatre Company, based in Melbourne.
Inder Singh: Sound recordist, designer and editor
A multimedia storyteller and tech enthusiast, Inder Singh has over 25 years of experience in broadcast, audiovisual content, multimedia production, and creative strategy. Inder’s creative practice has deep roots in the realm of contemporary and traditional puppetry, blending contemporary storytelling with India's rich traditional forms. A composer, sound designer, music director and researcher, Inder co-founded the Indian rock band ‘Menwhopause’ achieving global success. Whilst based in Delhi, Inder was the Supervising Producer and Creative Director behind India’s top political satire shows, Gustakhi Maaf and The Great Indian Tamasha on NDTV. Currently employed at Museums Victoria, as a specialist in the broadcast and multimedia Technical Events Department. In 2022 -2023, Inder was instrumental in re-designing the micro newsroom production control room at the Melbourne Museum theatre and worked across multiple departments, from Digital Content Studios to Digital Multimedia Services.
